My Earring Collection: 2016!

Hi guys! Through the years I've collected quite a few baubles, and I thought it would be fun to do an overview of my jewelry collection. To start, I'm sharing my earring stash. I have picked up so many beautiful earrings in the past few years, and what I love is that each earring has its own place - I haven't overdone it with the shopping to the point where I have tons and tons of earrings, with many copycats. I've really hand selected these gems and I'm very happy with what I currently own. I hope this overview will make me start to wear my earrings more often, because I don't and it's really a travesty. So often I run out of the house without a single accessory on! Oh the horror. Anyway guys, I hope you enjoy!

BaubleBar | I bought these statement earrings from BaubleBar called the Rose Dewdrops Earring ($34) around 3 years ago and they are so beautiful. Everything from the color of the stones to the shape of the earring itself is perfect. I absolutely love them and I wouldn't change a single detail.

BaubleBar | These are the Ice Aztec Drops from BaubleBar, which I believe are no longer on the website, but were for a very long time. These are stunning. I love that they really are like ice, the perfect crystal statement earring to accompany any look. Best of all, somehow, I managed to snag these on sale for a CRAZY price! It was literally $5-$10 if I recall correctly.

BaubleBar | These are the Crystal Anemone earrings in the color yellow! I bought these either last summer or the summer before. Aren't they lovely? They're a bit more delicate than my other statement earrings and add a sunny pop of color to my collection.

BaubleBar | These are the Von Trapp Drops from BaubleBar in the color Champagne. They look very similar to the Aztec Drops but are more of a rounded shape. I bought these in December of 2014 on sale for only $15!

BaubleBar | Ah, memory lane. These are the first pair of BaubleBar earrings I ever bought! :') They were part of a 3 pair set of pave studs that I bought at BaubleBar's first ever pop-up shop. Yep, we go that way back. Sadly, I lost one of the other sets, which actually became my favorite. They were pyramid studs. I still have the other pair though, which are stars. I believe I bought these in January of 2013.

BaubleBar | These are the Mariposa Ear Jackets from BaubleBar ($32). I swear, I don't exclusively shop at BaubleBar! They're just really, really good. Anyway, my sister went on my Pinterest account to see my wishlist and surprise me this Christmas :') These are so elegant and they add a different touch to my collection.

BaubleBar | Cairo Ear Jackets $28 These divine gold earrings! Another ear jacket, I swear 2015 was the year of the ear jackets. To be honest with you, I still don't exactly know what ear jackets are... but they appear to be studs with a lower main portion that sits below the ear. WOW that was bad. BaubleBar... am I off the mark? | Okay I found BaubleBar's description online - These spiked gold ear jackets evoke rays of sunlight, layered with extra sparkle thanks to tiny crystals.

BaubleBar | Spoiler alert: I'm crazy about pave. I love pave so much! It's gold and glitzy but understated, making it my go-to earring finish. These Pave XO studs from Baublebar ($28) are so adorable. One is an O and the other is an X!

Anthropologie | I got these stud earrings from my friend Kin for Christmas. I'll be honest, we were in the store and I saw these and literally had to ask him for these as my Christmas gift. That's how much I loved them. They are the tiniest little gold pearl and initial set. So cute!! But I do remember they were pricy - about $28 to $32 I believe.

BaubleBar | My sister also gifted me this pair of glamorous pair of ear crawlers (somewhat similar to ear jackets?) also from BaubleBar. These are called the Liza Ear Crawlers ($32). I love them! I'll share with you guys the description I found online for it - "Shine bright in gem-encrusted ear jackets shaped like heavenly bodies. Downward facing spikes add a hint of edge to your wardrobe. Adjustable post back."

BaubleBar | This is the other pair of pave earrings that came in the 3-pair set I spoke about earlier! You can't tell just how pave it is (maybe because they're so old?) but they are still glitzy and lovely :)

Brandy Melville | Finally, onto my Brandy studs! The first pair, purchased 3-4 years ago, and gold heart studs with tiny letters, LA, carved into them. too cute!

Brandy Melville | Now, it's time to showcase my enormous plethora of Brandy studs. These are the kinds they sell so that you can mix and match. A few of these I have pairs of, and others are sold as individual studs in a variety set (so only one of each). These were all purchased around 2013... very cheap, I think the variety pack was $12, and the pairs were just a few dollars.

Alright guys, so I didn't end up taking close-ups of the remaining Brandy Melville studs (apparently), so I took screenshots from my video instead, hence the lighting difference. I think you can still see them pretty well though!

Urban Outfitters | These are the latest studs I've added to my collection, I purchased this adorable four pair set at Urban Outfitters a month or two ago. It was only $14 I think. Feast your eyes! I tried on my two favorite pairs on camera.

Thanks guys! That wraps it up! It's been extremely laborious putting this overview together but I think it's well worth it. Now I get to share my collection with the world :) I hope you liked! Please leave a comment if you do, I would love your feedback. Don't forget to watch my YouTube video also!

Another Day, Another Haul

Friday after work I treated myself to a little splurge night in Soho! Here are the treasures I picked up:

Blinking Beaute Lashes in Design No. 2 from Ricky's: I love these lashes but boy they are hella expensive! $38 with tax included. I was so glad that this time I had the balls to secretly unwrap the different lash boxes from their plastic to find the nicest pair. Last time I went I had such a lemon of a lash, it was just awful! Way less voluminous with a weird curl pattern. I know they want to keep the lashes untouched but I was so glad when I took the time and effort to take a look for myself - each box I opened was a little different. This was the best pair.

Set of 3 layering bracelets from Aldo: This bracelet set is so beautiful that I had to take it home with me! It looks far more expensive then $12, which is what I paid for it. The delicate details are lovely and add a bit of sparkle to my collection. I also purchased these because of the malleable nature of the bracelets. Hopefully I can squeeze them tight enough to fit my freakishly skinny wrists!

Moonlight Madness Post Earring Set from Urban Outfitters: I walked into Urban Outfitters to window shop and I came across this adorable set of earrings! These studs are right up my alley, I absolutely love sparkle and gold. Pave is literally my thing. So I was super duper excited and I decided to pay the $18 for them (grr, still too expensive in my opinon). I really only bought this set for the middle two pairs of earrings.

Velour Inner Accessories Tray - Grid from Muji: I went to Muji to pick up another tray for my acrylic case which is now split between storing jewelry and makeup. I think eventually it will be solely used to store jewelry, but I have to clear enough counter space to be able to add a new acrylic case for my makeup, which I'm also fighting because I don't want my makeup collection to get out of hand. This is my fourth jewlery tray purchased from Muji... which means, in my lifetime, I have spent $67.76 on jewelry trays alone... AHHH!!! -Runs for the hills-

Alright guys, that about wraps up the haul! I approximately spent around $85 for these five items... yikes money is a fleeting thing. Until next time, bye.

What $160 at Sephora Got Me

Hello everyone! I received quite a plentiful bounty for Christmas this year, including two amazing Sephora gift cards that combined totaled $160! At first I thought, I'll save the gift cards for when I need to make re-purchases on vital products like cleanser, dry shampoo, etc. But then I said - eh... what's the fun in that? After all, $160 is a lot of money and I figured I could splurge on a couple nice items and maybe save the rest. That turned into spending it all on a haul with luxury items. Take a look at what I picked up:

Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color - $10 each
I got both these lip pencils on sale while surfing Sephora.com! I couldn't believe it, they were all on sale for $10 but I got them for $8 each (they were having a 20% off all sale promotion and I think I used another coupon code!) I get the feeling that they are being discontinued but I got two beautiful shades, perfect for popping in your hand bag (both colors and formulas which I love).

Clinique Cheek Pop in Nude Pop - $22
I spotted this blush online and it was so pretty looking! The product photos are gorgeous for all 12 shades. Online they're very vibrant and intensely pigmented looking, but in real life (at least for me) I have to build the color a lot and really get my brush in there. Still for $22 a blush, that's a pretty great deal (and it's the perfect color for my preferences). I plan on throwing this in my makeup bag on the go.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White Dry Shampoo - $28
This was a re-purchase. I love this dry shampoo, I've tried the cheap ones like Bautiste which everyone swears by as a good, cheap dry shampoo but it almost never worked. It just didn't. This dry shampoo is AMAZING, the spray mechanism is so powerful and the product comes shooting out and almost instantly with one motion I can do my entire hair line and de-greasify it. It's a really great dry shampoo because it does. it's. job.  And it smells great too. I wish it was cheaper but this product has become an essential for me.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(Marc)able Full Cover Concealer $32
So this concealer claims to be "a creamy, full-coverage concealer that creates an even, remarkable skintone by concealing flaws and imperfections." When I was perusing products at the Sephora in Herald Square (which offers many of Sephora's more high-end luxury brands i.e. Surratt, Estee Lauder, Ciate, etc.), I walked by the Marc Jacobs beauty range and tried this concealer on. Granted, I was wearing face makeup, but from the application I knew it was going to be one of those emollient, full-coverage concealers. This bodes well for me, as I am always on the hunt for high-coverage face products that are an instant perfector. Normally I wouldn't shell out $32 on a concealer, but I figured it was a gift. I am however still testing it... after all, that is a lot to spend on one tiny product!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz - $46
And now it's time for our last and most expensive product. I purchased one of Bobbi Brown's infamous Shimmer Bricks, known for their high intensity as well as versatility. I love highlighters, and I've had my eye on this product for years, but it was always too expensive for me to buy. However, with my newfound riches (thanks Stephanie and Nick!) I was freed to splurge guilt-free. I went into Sephora and tried just about a billion highlighters and blushes on my face, but one of my cheeks looked especially radiant, and with some testing on future visits, I ascertained that Bobbi Brown's shimmer brick in Pink Quartz was the product that contributed the most to that sheen, so I went ahead and bought it. This specific shade gives my cheeks the most luminous, pretty glow and true to word is described on the site as a "soft, warm pink glow." Again, I <3 neutral warm pinks so this was love at first swipe.

So that's it guys! Can you believe it? $160 at Sephora only earned me a few products. I can't help but feel a little disappointed. I did all the math, and yup, these products = $145, so tax ate up the rest of my credit. I may have even spent a little more on tax then $15. However, I did pay for two luxury items, three if you count the dry shampoo. Anyway, I still had fun and wanted to post my few treasures up (also helping me assess the haul). Thanks guys! If given the opportunity again, I would definitely make more careful considerations. I still might return the concealer if it doesn't outmatch my other concealers. We'll see!
