However, for today, I decided I wanted to use one of the colors I never touched. So I went for this bright blue called Alice. I put that all over the lid (it was actually surprisingly pretty and smooth!) and blended lots of Vorpal and Jabberwocky into the outer V and the crease. Finally I used White Rabbit on the highlight. I kind of like the end product. It looks very Egyptian.

Blue Smokey Eye using Urban Decay's Alice in Wonderland Palette
So it's a random Sunday and I'm hanging around the house, not having much to do. I decide that I don't want to wear makeup today because my face and skin needs some r & r. However, I love makeup, obviously. So I end up thinking about how much I would like to play with some eye makeup, and figured it would be okay to just use some makeup on the eyes. I ended up fooling around with my Alice in Wonderland Urban Decay palette, which truthfully I don't like at all. Nearly all the colors have obnoxious, horrible chunky glitters that fall all over the place. I'm a girl who LOVES glitter, but this glitter is unflattering and hard to work with, and I don't care for the colors much. I love neutrals, but the neutrals in this palette just don't seem to look good on my complexion. I've never used the brights that much, because I honestly prefer neutral smokey eyes, and brights are way harder to pull off then neutrals.

Mini Haul!
I went to the mall the other day, not expecting to buy anything (and not wanting to either, God knows I'm not made of money and my funds are dwindling), but of course I found some really awesome stuff. So without further ado here is my little photo story of my shopping purchases!
Hope you liked! I know these aren't beauty posts, and I will keep the personal/fashion stuff to a minimum. I just feel like fashion and beauty are closely intertwined, and as such they complement each other. So I hope you enjoy these posts as much as the other ones. After all, variety is the spice of life!
This first item is really close to my heart. It's not something I bought, but I thought I'd include it because I received it the day I went shopping, and because it deserves recognition. It's a gift from a dear friend of mine who I love very much. I had received a Juicy Couture Starter Charm Bracelet for Christmas, but never had enough money to buy any charms for it. As a late birthday present he surprised me by sending me this adorable birthday cake charm. I LOVE it and I know it will always be my favorite charm both because of beauty and sentiment. :)
Super cute nude patent flats from DSW! $39.95, by Steve Madden. The inside is pretty too- rose gold!

Essie Nail Polish- Tart Deco
I've pretty much decided I'm going to buy an Essie polish a week. As long as I can afford it anyway. So keep expecting these posts. Anyway, I bought Tart Deco, and although I like the color, it's SO bright! I thought it'd be more of a pretty muted down coral/peach. But it's more like a peach/orange. And it's like neon. It looks like an orange highlighter. I just wasn't prepared for that. But that is what it looks like, and don't think I just put too much on either. This was only two coats. I'm not going to comment on the ease of application for this polish, simply because I'm horrible at applying nail polish. For me, my first coat of Essie goes on disgustingly runny and sheer and my second coat goes on more opaque and solid. So yeah. I build up the nice-looking ness haha. Enjoy the pics!
This is legit how it looks! Funny enough, the webcam gives accurate lighting. It's Day-glo. Honestly.

Brandy Melville Haul!
I absolutely love the clothing brand Brandy Melville. I had seen the brand around on sites like Piperlime and Revolveclothing.com but I didn't know they had actual stores. I was walking in Soho with my cousin when we passed by a Brandy Melville and went in. It. was. heaven.
The store is amazing. It's beautiful. All the clothes are beautiful, and feel so luxuriously soft. It's a one size fits all type deal, and in my case, all the clothes really did fit. I picked up 6 things, and paid altogether $142. I know. Steep. At least for me, I never really go shopping, or if I do I buy one or two things not six. But the prices were so good I couldn't resist. The most expensive things were the 2 sweaters I bought, which totalled about $80. So not bad.
Also there are no instructions on the labels of most of the clothing. Nothing about the material or how to wash it (which is a huge concern anyway because the clothes are so delicate and soft). So I contacted Brandy Melville through email and asked how to wash them. They responded within a day or 2, and I was glad to find out that you do not have to handwash these clothes!
Their response:
Hello,
We are extremely glad of your purchase and the best way to wash the clothing would be in the washer with like colors, settings set to delicate and cold water and dry in low heat setting. :)

Without further ado... my little preview of the clothes! I'm doing this because Brandy Melville's site doesn't have an online shopping section or that many pictures of the clothing, which really are divine. I paired all my tops with a basic pair of jean shorts from AE (bought last year). The clothes don't have names, so when I label them it's my own creation haha. Also, I'm approximating the prices. I lost my receipt even though I made sure to save it :( The last 2 prices are definitely correct though. Hope you enjoy!
* Sorry for the impossibly dirty mirror!!
